Sicilian ones tend to be more on the practical side of things, so they arent particularly weird, stuff like
"Cu li fimmini, mancu lu diavulu ci potti" wich literally translated means "Not even the devil can deal with women" wich i fully agree with!
"Si vo' passari la vita cuntenti, statti luntanu di li parenti." wich means "If you want to live a happy life, stay away from your relatives" again, another timeless pearl of wisdom
"– A megghiu parola è chidda ca nun si dici." "The best word is the one left unsaid"
–" A tempu ri caristia, ogni funtana leva a siti." "When theres famine, whatever fountain will quench your thirst" i'm sure this is very easy to understand. Works in many ways
"Cu voli beni, un senti fetu d’agghia" "He who loves won't notice the garlic smell" Wich is also definitely true!
Other's are very much a product of their time but they still very much make me giggle, like
" Fìmmina ca ti cunsigghia ti metti la gunnedda o la brigghia" "Accepting suggestions from a woman will end up with you wearing the skirt or a bridle"
