This topic is made for the GW2 beta weekend

Me and Majj/Saidra are for sure playing this weekend unless something goes wrong, so if anyone else is planning on doing the same please tell us here as we may be able to create a guild!

I plan on taking quite a few screenshots as requested by Worthie, probably not videos though, even if I planned on having a go with that as well.

Saidra plans on going Mesmer and I plan on going Thief this time around. My original choice was Guardian, but I like variation when playing with friends, and Xenode/Daeryn is thinking of going Guardian. Obviously we'll probably try every class, but these will be the focus. Let us know if you're interested in GW2 and wants some info about specific professions!

Ive downloaded about 7 gigs and have hit my fair usage policy cap so its now going at about 1mbs so maybe I will have it in time

We made a guild as well, LPT!

Ill come join you in a bit but i stupidly logged out and now im stuck on the login screen

We are norn right now, there were so many humens, so we lagged alot!

Im not sure i can change server it put me on a different one when i logged in and now it want me to spend a 1400 of something that i dont have to change.

Hope this dosnt make it too live where you can only play one server.

Apparently your characters will end up in a "home world", and you can't do a select few activities on other servers, but you can still visit there and play with people.

The only example they've mentioned right now is World vs World, the big battleground type thing. You can't do that on other servers. Apparently PvE is mostly unaffected by the server-thing.

Also you apparently have 2000 "gems" to spend this beta weekend, so you can swap server. But I'm not sure how and can't check since the servers as a whole are getting overloaded at the moment!

Update!

Ingek lagged so immensely on Far Shiverpeaks that he tried the medium population Magus Falls instead. Apparently we have free transfers until like 1800 (US time?) tomorrow evening.

Since we have no real ties to Far Shiverpeaks we'll probably follow soon
