I'm thinking of getting a laptop for gaming in the new year. Not for anything heavy, mainly stuff like Wow, Sims, Twopoint Hospital and such.
Can anyone give me pointers on what to look for/avoid? Or if there's an online guide or such just point me at it!
cheers o/

Is there a reason you want a laptop in particular? They generally run super hot and loud and you pay so much for people to make things smaller and fit.

I can not recommend a laptop. But I can look at the specs, laptop manufacturers like to scam putting in 3070 GPU or some other really nice card and then the rest of the system is complete crap which bottlenecks the GPU or CPU. As that dude form marvel would say "perfectly balanced as all things should be".

Cheers Bell, I'll keep that in mind when I start looking!
I've not even started saving yet so it will be a while but if it's ok I'll bother you with specs when the time comes. :)

I also wouldnt recommend a laptop for gaming, they get warm and loud especially when you got them on your knees on sofa, the cooling system may be blocked and the laptop can become even hotter.

It strictly depends on what your budget is, you should have Win10, at least 8GB RAM, at least 4GB VRAM (graphic card), SSD, i5-7~ (the laptop versions are kinda worse than desktop versions means i7 on laptop is like weak i5 on desktop). A decent gaming laptop costs about 1k€, while you could have a nice desktop for that price.
I bought a Lenovo Laptop like 6 years ago and it was good. MSI did some nice stuff back then too.

This is where I got my last 2 pc’s from and where I will get my next from. They are usually very quick and have never had and problems with them
