On august the 6th, at Gamescon, Blizzard will announce the next expansion.

What do we think it will be? What do we want it to be?

Only thing I want it to be is longer and not just three raids like WoD

Apparently they have trademarked 2 names:

Eye of Azshara and Council of Glades.

I think it will be Council of Glades even if the name seems super unexciting. Just because apparently the movie is coming next year and nagas dont fit with the movie. Not that i think the movie plot will be the expansion, but i think it will at least somewhat relate to it. So people watching the movie can go "oh i want to play wow!" and then buy the expansion. And since there's no naga plot in the movie it seems poorly timed to release a anaga expansion. And Eye of Azshara must be a naga expansion, right? So i bet Eye of Azshara is a Hearthstone name and we'll get the glades.

Also i'm banking on a new class or race for the new expansion, since we didn't get a class or race this one.

Oh I was right about the new class!

I didn't really understand though what timeline the new expansion is in. It seemed to me it was continuing on this Draenor 35 years ago time line since people from this timeline are in it. So... I don't really get why we care? I mean, Velen dies in this timeline but not in ours. So nothing from this 35 years ago timeline affects ours.? So why are we bothering continuing on there? Don't we have any stuff to do in our own timeline? Or am I misunderstanding something?

Seems weird to me lore-wise. Like our characters are playing a fantasy game that doesn't affect their reality, and we play them. So essentially when we play Wow we play characters who play Wow. Seems too meta to me.

Otherwise I liked the zone pictures and stuff. I just didn't get the actual story or why we are in it.

The class hall thing seemed like something quite unnecessary but if it will replace garrisons and be less like garrisons I am all for the class halls.

And the honor change seemed good for pvp to me.

Now I'm hoping for them to give us more than character 12 slots per server.
